Hey all!
I hope you had a relaxing Spring Break (well... a relaxing break in general) and are ready to dive back in with our book, The Awakening. This week, your job is to finish reading chapter 21-30 and work on your study guide, as you have done every week. I am also tagging on another project I hope you will enjoy! The one assignment you will be turning in on or before April 9 before 11:59 pm is a Twitter page based on one of the characters from The Awakening! Now, some of you might not have Twitter, so I have also attached a Twitter page for you to view as an exemplar as well as a blank template you will use to complete your project. Get creative. Make a funny handle (@independentwoman or @x-pressyoseff for Edna). This is going to be fun! Here are your rules/ expectations: 1. You must fill out EVERY portion of this page. (If you do not have a printer, you must draw this out on paper and fill it out that way.) The BLUE birds are what YOUR character would say. The GREEN birds are what your character has retweeted. 2. You must be creative but academic at the same time. Be sure to use speech etiquette from their time period and speak as if you were the character. (I really hope you get creative with this. Everyone needs a good laugh at this point.) 3. You must use academic language as well as sticking to how your chosen character would have spoken to others. No cursing or crude language should be anywhere on your assignment. 4. Your project should reflect knowledge based on what happens in chapters 21-30. You cannot use information from only chapter 21 and nothing from the other chapters. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at [email protected] or message me on Remind. Can't wait to see your projects! Comments are closed.
